Invoice files you check on this site

When you use the invoice checker, your file is read by your own browser. It isn't uploaded to us or anyone else, and it's gone when you close the page.

What we collect when you request an audit

• Your name, email address and business name.
• Where you keep your invoices and roughly how much you invoice each year.
• Anything you write in the notes box, and the estimate from your invoice check if you ran one.

Why we use it

To reply to your request and carry out the audit you asked for. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.

Where it's kept and for how long

Requests are stored with our hosting provider, Vercel. We keep them for up to 12 months if you don't become a client, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details by replying to any email we send you. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
